Newport Country Club, in Newport, Rhode Island, was co-founded by Theodore A. Havemeyer and is one of the five founding clubs of the United States Golf Association, which was formed on December 22, 1894. Havemeyer became the association's first president. In 1895 the club hosted the first U.S. Amateur and the first U.S. Open, and it returned to the national stage when it hosted the U.S. Senior Open in 2024.

This print draws on the flat, saturated colors of mid century resort posters, with a leather golf bag and a single club resting on a bright green lawn in the foreground, and the edge of a tennis racket and ball in the corner. Beyond them, pink rock stacks rise from a deep blue bay, a curving beach runs toward a town, and an orange sky sits above. Heavy cream lettering names the city, with Rhode Island set in a smaller line below.
